What can only be described as mind blowing, Scottsdale Unified School District president has dossier on 47 parents who have opposed school board decisions. First reported by the Scottsdale Independent on November 9th the story has created a firestorm of anger among local parents.
The files reportedly contain, Social Security numbers, background checks, a divorce paper, mortgage documents, trade certifications, and screenshots of Facebook posts. I cannot believe that this is not being investigated as a crime. What justification does the school board have for have all this information? ZERO, NONE, NADA as far as I can see. This is nothing more than a blatant invasion of privacy that has nothing to do with carrying out the duties of the school board.
With all the attention on the Department of Justice, specifically the FBI, it can only be seen as an intimidation tactic to scare away parents who oppose the job/conduct of the current school board. Greenburg’s father went as far as hiring a private investigator to take down license plates. “I had a law firm do it so that it’s protected so that we can get the information,” Mark Greenburg states in the video.
Dossiers stored on Google Drive
The dossiers are stored on a Google Drive showing 4 people with access and anyone with a link to the drive. The owner of the file is listed as Mark Greenburg, father of the board president. In addition to the files mentioned above it also contains video files pictures of some parents and children. Again, there cannot be any justification for having information like this for a school board. The public link to the drive is now disabled and set to private.
Is this happening across the country?
Is this sort of thing happening across the country? Parents in the United States are already on edge and afraid to speak up for fear of getting a visit from the FBI. Are other districts going to start keeping files on parents like the Scottsdale Unified School Board has Dossier on 47 parents. To what end would a school district do with this information?
These are scary times we are living in. Privacy is pretty much a thing of the past. Granted a lot of this is self inflicted as we provide information to social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. It will be interesting to see if anything comes of this blatant scare tactic. I for one hope there are criminal charges coming for this. Again, the school board has no reason for all the information they have collected on unsuspecting parents.
