A dog in South Carolina ran away from home after it got scared of fireworks this past Sunday. The Labrador Catahoula Leopard Dog mix named Rajah was in he backyard and when the fireworks started she ran and leapt over the fence in the backyard to the shock of his owners.
The owners shared her photo on social media and searched for miles looking for the escaped pooch. The owner is quoted as saying “I kept hoping I wouldn’t find her on the side of the road,” Washick told The State. Being a dog owner myself I do not want to think about my pooch being lost and scared. I would be worried sick.
Then Monday at 3am the owners said they heard scratching at the door and the doorbell started ringing. To their surprise it was their beloved Rajah. She found her way home and actually rang the doorbell. lol
Having a pooch myself that is supposed to be a rather smart dog, I can’t imagine having her actually ring the doorbell… I think I have the only Golden Retriever that really does not retrieve (I really tried to get her to fetch) and does not care for water.
Thankfully a happy ending for Rajah and his owners.
