Chinese “weather” balloon destroyed. A F-22 jet from Langley Air Force Base in Virginia shot the balloon with a single AIM-9X Sidewinder missile, according to Fox News.
President Biden finally approved the downing of the Chinese balloon that had crossed the U.S. mainland. The balloon first detected on January 25th over Alaska made its way over the northern United States, over sensitive military bases and nuclear missile bases. This is a huge failure of protecting the United States from foreign aggression.
Why the wait
Why did President Biden and his military advisors wait so long to destroy what in my opinion was an obvious intelligence gathering apparatus? If first was first detected over Alaska why wasn’t it destroyed then? Also, why was the nation being kept in the dark about it? It was only revealed after Larry Mayer from Billings, Montana spotted a white orb in the sky and started taking pictures. He suspected something was up when the airport was shut down. Once his pictures became viral the Biden Administration could not deny the existence of the balloon.
This was a complete failure to protect the country from a foreign aggressor. Why in the world would they allow this to go on for so long? Reports say Biden wanted to shoot it down once it was discovered but was advised against it. If true, those advisors should be fired for dereliction of duty.
Only a matter of time before Trump was mentioned
I knew this one was coming, now claims that Chinese balloons passed over the United States 3 times during the Trump Administration, the source being a “senior US defense official”. In turn Mark Esper, Trump’s Secretary of Defense stated he was “surprised” by this statement.
“I don’t ever recall somebody coming into my office or reading anything that the Chinese had a surveillance balloon above the United States,” Esper said, adding that “I would remember that for sure.”

Leave it to Biden’s administration to deny, deflect an accuse to cover up their own failures. This seems to be the norm for this failed administration. Everyone knows they only shot down the balloon after pressure from the Republicans and more importantly the American public. Of course Democratic politicians in Washington were praising President Biden for his “actions”
What a joke these politicians are, praising the President who failed in every way during this incident. Should the time come when there is an even more serious threat or intrusion to the country we would be ill prepared and unable to handle most definitely due the lack of leadership currently running our great country.
